Description

The model offered is originally a new and originally packaged Ortofon Super OM5E cartridge, the packaging of which we opened and the cartridge body of which we replaced with a new original Ortofon stylus 40. After that the carton of the cartridge was then resealed by us. The original Ortofon needle 5E is not included in the scope of delivery.

Extreme value for money

Highly detailed (thank the FG70 stylus for at least a part of that), dynamic with neutral tonality (not anaemic but also no extra flab). A modern Audio Technica VM 540 ML could compete with its price, but it has a treble rise that is absent with the OM 40 Super. The ideal mate with a light weight tonearm such as eg the SME series III. Doubt that you could find anything better under 1,000 €.

Sehr detailreich. Manche behaupten, bei Rock/Pop wenig druckvoll, kann das nicht bestätigen. Ist ihr Geld wert. Bewertung aufgrund von Erfahrung mit OM-Body, nicht Super-OM-Body verfasst.
